Frequently asked questions
How do I give myself a province in EU4?
Use own <province id> <tag>, e.g. own 183 FRA gives France ownership of Paris. Omit the tag to give it to the country you're playing.
What's the difference between own and control?
own transfers permanent ownership of a province, while control only changes who occupies it (the wartime controller). Use control to flip occupation, own to take it for good.
How do I add a core to a province?
Use add_core <province id> <tag>, e.g. add_core 183 FRA. Coring removes the overextension and unrest penalties of holding a province you have no claim on.
