What happens
The United States Congress is debating whether the Coinage Act should be passed. A Mint would be established and the coinage of the USA would be regulated. The silver dollar is the suggested unit of money and a decimal system for the U.S. currency is being created. A Director, an Assayer, a Chief Coiner, an Engraver and a Treasurer, are suggested as officers of the U.S. Mint.
