What happens
Captain Meriwether Lewis and his close friend Second Lieutenant William Clark are proposing an American expedition to cross the Western portion of America, to find the most direct and practicable water communication across the continent. Together with a small group of volunteers, the two men will cross the continent and explore the Missouri River, to find if the Columbia, Oregon, Colorado or any other river may offer a waterway across this continent for the purpose of commerce.
