Mending the Schism

Since the Eastern and the Western Churches split in 1054, it seemed like there was no unity in sight and there wouldn't be for centuries to come. It almost seemed like the two churches would get reunited in the fifteenth century thanks to the terrible situation the Roman Empire found itself in, but it was able to return to grace, throwing off the shackles of Papal influence. Today, the Empire stands triumphant, having restored the Pentarchy and properly united the two churches, having swayed public opinion towards such outcome.
