What happens
In 1621, at the end of the 12-year peace treaty with Spain, the Geoctroyeerde Westindische Compagnie was founded which mainly focused on privateering against the Spanish fleets. Apart from privateering, the objective was to establish as many colonies as possible in the Americas and conquer land. Famous exploits include Manhattan and Piet Heyn raiding the Spanish silver fleet.
