Nationalization of the VOC?

Poor financial policies and slow reactions due to its centralized control as well as continued competition and sinking prices have continued to make life hard for our East India Company. In day-to-day operations the company is still managing the control of all of our East Indian possessions well but many now have serious doubts about the viability of this in the long run. Perhaps the time has come to finally nationalize the VOC and take the hit to our economy that this would entail? Even if we do continue to support the company with more loans and subsidies it is unlikely that we will be able to shield the general Dutch economy entirely at this point.
