What happens

In 1211 the Burzenland was granted to us by King Andrew II of Hungary. In return, we promised him to protect the southeastern border of the Hungarian Kingdom from the threat of the Cumans.\nFor fourteen years, the Order enjoyed special privileges such as the exemption from taxes and the right to establish markets and to administer justice. These were all lost when Andrew's heir, Béla, and the Hungarian nobility expelled us from our rightful lands.\n\nAfter over 200 years, the Burzenland is once again under Teutonic control. During our absence, the once wooden fortification of Dietrichstein has been torn down. In its place is now the Bran Castle instead, which architecture caught the attention of our ruler our ruler and their advisors. The question has risen of if we should use the resources of Carpathia to expand the Bran Castle and make it into our new capital, or if we should remain in our nation and use them for the Marienburg.

Player choices

When this event fires, Teutonic Claims of the Burzenland presents these options:

  • The Bran Castle shall become our next capital!
  • These resources are better spent in our nation.
