What happens
In his first years of reign, Peter the Great took great inspiration from Western European advisors: he reorganized the army, established the first Russian navy, modernized the absolute manners and laid the first cornerstones for the industrialization of Russia. Although his reign also tightened the grip of the serfdom and demanded blood and violence in cases of revolts, so did the Emperor change the face of Russia to one which had to be recognized by the other great powers.
