The Third Period of the Muscovite Civil War

The reign of Vasily II is a troubled one. His grandfather, Dmitry Donskoy, has appointed Vasily I as his legal successor and Vasily I's brother, Yury Dmitrievich, as the next in the line of succession.\nEventually, Dmitry and Vasily I have died and Vasily I's son, Vasily II, has become the ruler of our nation. This act is in direct defiance to the succession law of seniority and as such, Yury rebelled against the then still young Vasily II. This has led to the Muscovite Civil War between Vasily II versus Yury and his sons, Vasily Kosoy and Dmitry Shemyaka.\n\nWhile the threats of Kosoy and Yury were dealt with, Dmitry Shemyaka still poses a danger to the stability of the our nation. With a small army of conspirators, Dmitry executes a coup d'etat against Vasily II. The our ruler gets captured, blinded and exiled to Uglich while Dmitry asserts control over the government.
