Docks & Wharfs of Bryggen

The Hanseatic League has been present in Norway for centuries, since they started their activites in the kontor of Bryggen. It quickly became a very important trading center, dominating the trade along the Norwegian coast. However, since then the League's influence in the city had dwindled, its offices and storehouses being taken by local merhants.\n\nAround this year, an office of the Hanseatic League was re-established in the city. As the area once again regained its importance as a trading centre for the League, the facilities around the port, including the warfs and storage buildings, flourished and were greatly expanded in an attempt to provide mercantile capacity to the new influx of traders.
