Cibola - The Monk's Lies

The small city with ramshackle adobes and dirty streets, nothing like the houses made of gold and streets paved with precious stones described to us, met our conquistador and the expedition when they finally reached 'Cibola' in. The monk tried to stutter an explanation, about seeing the city in a different light - perhaps a sunset would paint it golden? But nothing he said could quell the rage and disappointment everyone felt.
