What happens
Since the settlement of the first islands, dogs have been by our side as companions, but also as food. Pretty much every islander group has their own breed of dog: the Poi in Hawai'i, the Kuri in Aotearoa, or those in Tahiti. When a source of food is needed, dogs are not always the first to fall, but they are fed with vegetables or fish so they are ready.
