What happens
Our neighbors in our nation have been able to greatly increase their production of manufactured goods by adopting new methods and technologies - ones our own manufacturers have not yet learnt the secrets of. Their cheaper goods are now flooding our markets, making it harder for local producers to make a living. On the other hand, the insatiable appetite of our industries means that raw materials produced in our nation are now in high demand, with the result that the people are increasingly abandoning urban factories in favor of rural plantations.
