Persian Miniature Painting

In Persian art the prohibition of depicting the human figure never reached as far as the non-religious literature and the Persian nobility have been commissioning illuminated manuscripts containing exquisite and very expensive miniature paintings for as long as anyone can remember.\nWith the rebirth of the Persian Empire the miniature painting industry is now booming. The works of the masters of the school are attracting not only domestic buyers but are now being exported all over the Islamic world.
