What happens
The people across the sea are intriguing. At first it was just their golden symbols and elaborate pyramids inspiring awe in our warriors, but recently even some of our prominent members of society have begun exploring the faith underlying this mystical life. So far, we have found a pantheon of gods, and ritual in all things - we have heard stories such as that of the New Fire ceremony, or Xiuhmolpilli, where following weeks of bodily abstinence, blood-ritual, and even a vow of silence, a man is sacrificed atop of an old fire mountain, thus beginning a new cycle of their 52-year calendar.\n\nFrom what we understand, much of their worldview is based on staving off the end of the world, an idea proving reasonable among some of our warriors.
