Four Noble Truths

We have met a sage, dressed most humbly, who claims to be a monk following the teachings of the 'Buddha'. When we asked what this meant, he proceeded to tell us about a man who reached enlightenment. He later became known as the Buddha and he shared his wisdom of the Four Noble Truths with his disciples. They reveal how we as humans crave and cling to that which is impermanent, keeping us unsatisfied and trapped in an endless cycle of rebirth, but also how to reach liberation and enlightenment by following the Noble Eightfold Path.
