The Divided God

As we expand our horizons and encounter new communities we learn of other deities and ways of life. Recently words have reached us of the god 'Zanahary'. He is the Creator of the Universe, split in two - he is both male and female, Light and Dark, Heaven and Earth. The heavenly Zanahary breathes life into the clay bodies shaped by the earthly Zanahary, thus creating humans. When the two sides of Zanahary argue, the breath is withdrawn from the body, resulting in mortality and death.\n\nThe followers of Zanahary do not seem to be all that worried by this, however. They tell us that life is only a temporary state and that the dead are the most important members of the community. The ancestors, or 'razana', are described as gods on earth and act as a mediator between the living and Zanahary.
