Ruler Questioned

Appointing someone to be the head of our ancestral shrines has generally been a successful move. The shrines themselves are in good order and our official has also become so closely associated with these spirits that he has been able to create a new set of ceremonies for their worship, in close cooperation with the oracles. Indeed he is now expected to speak for them himself in some regards.\nHowever, it seems our care-taker has started to value his loyalty to the ancestors above that to his our ruler. He has lately been lobbying for an increase in the budget to keep our holy shrines. It is hard to see a reason to go against the ancestors on this but it is unfortunate that someone feels he can speak for them against us...
