The Cwezi Heroes of Kitara

There was a time when the Cwezi ruled these lands, as their Empire, Kitara, encompassed all that is known to men. In our travels we have come across an increasing number of peoples that claim to be the heirs of Kitara cherishing these heroes of old. The spirits still exist in the world around us, in nature and in our minds and some can communicate with the Cwezi through oracles and diviners. In their lands we have come across groups of wandering priestesses who have the power to channel these spirits and through them disease, infertility and misfortune can be mitigated. There are those who devote their entire lives to these lost ancestors and their sanctuaries. All worldly authority must flow from ties to the past and no one can be fit to rule without a direct link to the Cwezi spirits.
