Quick Overview

The set_prov_flag command in Europa Universalis IV sets a specific marker, known as a flag, for a specific province.

Flags in EU4 are used to mark certain provinces and trigger specific events or actions. By using this command, players can manipulate the game mechanics to achieve certain outcomes, conditions, or scenarios in a specific province.

The flag set by this command can be anything defined in the game code and usually requires accurate syntax to work properly.

How to Open the Command Console

In EU4, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~(tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
