Quick Overview

The repair command in Europa Universalis IV immediately repairs all ships belonging to a specified country.

The command will fast forward the repair process that usually takes time, so all ships of the chosen country will be restored to their maximum durability.

In-Depth Description

The repair command in Europa Universalis IV is a console command that is used to repair all naval units (ships) of the specified country.

To use this command, you need to specify the country tag of the country you want to apply the command to.

The command works by immediately repairing any damaged ships within the fleet of the country referred to. This can be extremely helpful in circumstances where your fleet has undergone significant damage from naval warfare or from harsh sea conditions.

Under normal gameplay conditions, ships would repair only whilst at port and it would take some time to recover, creating a window of vulnerability.

Using the repair command, you can instantly make your fleet at full strength, ready for battle, exploration, or blockade. You should ideally use this command when you're handling naval battles, where instant repairs can give you the upper hand.

For instance, if you want to repair all of France's ships, you'd type repair FRA, with FRA being the country tag for France.

How to Open the Command Console

In EU4, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~(tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
