This command adds an idea group to the country with the specified country tag.
Stability Key / Idea Group Key / Tech Key | The stability key, idea group key, or tech key you wish to add to a country. |
Optional | The country tag of the country you wish to add the previously specified stability/idea/technology group to. If not specified, this will default to the country you are currently playing as. |
The power command in EU4 is used to add a specific idea group to your nation.
Idea groups are essentially unique sets of bonuses that can be chosen to define the way your nation develops.
When you use the power command, you would specify the particular idea group you want, and that group would be added to your nation's idea groups.
This would allow your nation to gain all the bonuses and benefits associated with the idea group.
In EU4, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.
To open the command console press the ~(tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).
If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:
Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
