Quick Overview

The leader command in Europa Universalis IV (EU4) allows you to create a new general character for your game.

You can specify particular values for this general, such as their fire, shock, maneuver, and siege skills. These values should be inserted after the command in the format fire, shock, maneuver, siege to designate the skill levels for the general you're creating. The higher the values, the higher the skill levels of the general.

In-Depth Description

In Europa Universalis IV, the command leader is used to create a general for your nation with specific attributes.

By using this command, you can create a highly skilled general that can provide a substantial edge in battles. This command can be quite powerful if used correctly.

When you use the leader command, you need to specify the values for fire, shock, maneuver, and siege. Here is an interpretation of these values:

  • Fire: This value represents the General's skill at conducting 'fire phase' during battles, which typically takes place from a distance using range weapons at the start of each day of battle.
  • Shock: This value represents the General's skill at managing 'shock phase' during battles. The shock phase generally represents melee combat and significantly affects the outcome of the battle.
  • Maneuver: This value affects the speed at which your armies can move between provinces and the ability to choose ground for battle. A higher maneuver score will allow your armies to move faster and provide a substantial tactical advantage.
  • Siege: This value affects how fast sieges go for land leaders, and how effectively the fleet can blockage for naval leaders.

This command can be extremely useful when you're expecting a war or if you're planning to attack a powerful enemy. Creating a general with high values will give you a considerable advantage in warfare.
