Quick Overview

The CrashReporter.UploadCrash command is used by players to upload the most recent crash report of their game to the developers.

When the game crashes, it creates a crash dump, which is a file containing data regarding the crash. By executing this command, players can directly send this crash dump to the developers, enabling them to investigate and address the issue more effectively.

In-Depth Description

The command CrashReporter.UploadCrash in Europa Universalis IV (EU4) is a console command that is used to upload the latest crash report. When EU4 crashes or encounters an error that leads to a crash, it generates a crash dump. This crash dump is essentially a snapshot of the system at the time of the crash.

The CrashReporter.UploadCrash command will take this generated crash dump and upload it, presumably to the developers or support team for the game. This crash dump can then be analysed by the team in order to better understand the circumstances surrounding the crash and ideally develop a fix for the issue.

This command does not affect gameplay directly and doesn't provide in-game benefits or penalties. It is more of a development tool, meant to aid in troubleshooting software issues.

How to Open the Command Console

In EU4, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~(tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
