Quick Overview

The center_of_trade command in Europa Universalis IV is used to either create a new center of trade in a specified province or to upgrade or downgrade an existing center of trade.

Centers of trade are an economic feature of the game that can greatly boost trade power in a province, influence trade routes, and generate additional income. The level of the center of trade (from level 1 to 3) determines its effectiveness in these areas.

In-Depth Description

The command center_of_trade in Europa Universalis IV is related to the economy aspect of your gameplay. This command allows you to create, upgrade, or downgrade a center of trade in a province that you specify.

Centers of Trade are special provinces which trade flows into. If you are able to control these centers of trade, you can gain a lot more trade power than if you were just collecting from trades from ordinary provinces. Because of this, they can be critical to a successful trade strategy.

Using the center_of_trade command requires two arguments: the level of the center of trade and the province ID where you want to create or modify the center of trade.

level here refers to the level of the center of trade you wish to establish, where 1 is a minor center of trade, 2 is an important center of trade, and 3 is a world trade center. Removing a center of trade can be done by setting the level to zero.

For example, typing center_of_trade 2 174 would upgrade or create the province with ID 174 to an important center of trade.

This command can be exceedingly helpful when you're looking to boost the economy of your nation. Upgrading a center of trade can increase your trade power, collecting more riches for your nation. Conversely, if you're looking to downgrade to save costs, this command gives you that flexibility as well.
