Quick Overview

The command add_liberty_desire is used to add liberty desire to a specific subject nation in Europa Universalis IV.

Liberty desire represents the desire of a subject nation to break free from its overlord. By using add_liberty_desire command followed by a numerical value, you can increase the liberty desire of your subject nation by the respective value. This can be often used in custom scenarios or game experiments.

For example, if you type add_liberty_desire 20, the liberty desire of the subject nation will increase by 20.

In-Depth Description

The add_liberty_desire is a console command in Europa Universalis IV that is used to modify the amount of liberty desire in a subject nation.

Liberty desire determines the independence of subject nations.

If it's below 50%, the subject is loyal. If it's above 50%, the subject is disloyal.

The syntax for the command goes as follows:

add_liberty_desire [amount] [country tag]

The parameters include:

  • Amount: The amount of liberty desire you wish to add.
  • Country Tag: The tag of the country you wish to add the liberty desire to.

Here's an example of how to use the command:

add_liberty_desire 30 ENG

In this case, you would be adding 30 to the liberty desire of England (ENG).

This command is usually used within subject-overlord relationships in the game. As an overlord, high liberty desire can be problematic as it means your subjects are more likely to attempt to break away. Therefore, you should use this command carefully, usually to give yourself a challenge or to recreate historical rebellions.

On the other hand, if you are a subject nation wishing to gain independence, increasing your liberty desire could be beneficial to speeding up the process.
