In-Depth Description

The add_faction command in Europa Universalis IV is used to manually add a specific faction to your country. This offer you a level of control over the internal politics of your country that you wouldn't normally have.

Different types of government have different types of factions.

For Celestial Empire, the factions are temples, eunuchs, and bureaucrats.

In Merchant Republic, the factions are mr_aristocrats (aristocrats), mr_traders (traders), and mr_guilds (guilds).

For Revolutionary Republic, the factions are rr_jacobins (Jacobins), rr_royalists (Royalists), and rr_girondists (Girondists).

Similarly, in the Pirate Republic, the factions are pr_buccaneers (Buccaneers), pr_smugglers (Smugglers), and pr_captains (Captains).

This command should be used if you want to explore the different political dynamics that these factions can bring to your country.

For example, the aristocrats may increase stability and administrative efficiency but may limit the influence of the traders, who can boost your country's economy. You can use this command to balance the benefits and drawbacks according to your own strategy.

How to Open the Command Console

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:
